FBI Raids Homes & Offices of Two Detroit Democrats

The FBI has raided the homes and offices of two Democrat officials in Detroit, Michigan, as part of an ongoing federal corruption probe, according to reports. Agents raided offices at the Detroit City Hall on Wednesday while also turning over the homes of two Democratic members of the City Council, Janee Ayers and Scott Benson. Federal investigators were seen carrying boxes and cases of evidence out of the office building and private residences of each of the Democrats. A search warrant was also executed at the home of Benson's chief of staff. Speaking with the media outside the city hall, FBI special agent Tim Waters addressed the raids. "Why are we doing this? Why are we doing these search warrants? Because the citizens of Detroit have a right to a city government that is free of corruption," Waters said.

White House Cuts Live Feed as Biden Jokes about Americans Trapped in Afghanistan

The White House suddenly cut the audio feed during a live press conference as Democrat Joe Biden smirked and cracked jokes when asked about Americans who are still trapped inside Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. The incident occurred during a Wednesday presser, just after a reporter asked Biden about the plan for rescuing stranded Americans from Kabul. Despite the audio being cut, several reporters, who were in the room at the time, confirmed that Biden cracked a joke about the crisis. At the time, Biden was holding an event about cybersecurity in the State Dining Room. When it concluded, reporters tried to ask Biden questions as White House aides attempted to usher them out. NBC’s Peter Alexander got a question in, asking Biden, “If Americans are still in Afghanistan after the deadline, what will you do?”

Maxwell was forced to carry materials from her cell to the conference room and was banned from bringing the cart in. The news comes amid reports of Maxwell's conditions in the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York. Since July, Maxwell has been in prison after she was arrested for allegedly recruiting children for Epstein to abuse.

Biden Accused of Pushing 'Lie' That 'Hundreds of Americans Don't Want to Leave Kabul'

Democrat Joe Biden and his administration are accused of pushing a "lie" that "hundreds of Americans" still trapped inside Taliban-controlled Afghanistan "are deciding not to leave." Critics are suggesting the Biden admin is promoting the false narrative as cover amid mounting fears that many Americans may not make the evacuations before the August 31 deadline. During a series of missives Wednesday, the State Department revealed that hundreds of Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan waiting to be rescued. And while the exact number of U.S. passport holders awaiting evacuation is up for debate, both the State Department and the White House claimed that around a “thousand” Americans may choose to stay in the rapidly deteriorating country. Later on Wednesday, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) fired back at the Biden administration over the claims. Rubio blasted the State Department’s claim of Americans wanting to remain in Afghanistan as “a lie.”
