American astronaut Alfred Merrill says human humans descended from aliens.

American astronaut Alfred Merrill "Al" Worden, who was Command Module Pilot for the Apollo 15 lunar mission in 1971, has suggested on the British TV show 'Good Morning Britain' that humans descended from aliens.

Worden was in the UK to celebrate space week and discuss his lunar mission in 1971.

"Al" Worden, who was one of the only 24 people who has flown to the moon, told interviewers he believed that humans were "seeded" on planet earth.

The former astronaut believed that people are descended from an extra-Iridic race related to ancient Sumerians.

The Anunnaki were a group of deities that appear in the mythological tradition of the ancient Sumerians, Akkadians, Assyrians, and Babylonians which many believe were aliens who visited mankind.

"Al" Worden isn't the only one who believes this theory, the late Sir Fred Fred Hoyle, an English astronomer who formulated the theory of stellar nucleosynthesis, believed extra-terrestrial DNA arrived on comets claiming the complexity of life is too great for it to have arisen with no external influence.

He said: “If one proceeds directly and straightforwardly in this matter, without being deflected by a fear of incurring the wrath of scientific opinion, one arrives at the conclusion that biomaterials with their amazing measure of order must be the outcome of intelligent design.”
