Schumer Slams Trump on Iran: 'Impulsive, Erratic, With No Strategy'
Senate Minority Leader says enacting a War Powers Act is important

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) blasted President Donald Trump after he tweeted an image depicting both Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wearing traditional Muslim attire.
Speaking on Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show,” Schumer said that Trump's actions “makes enacting a War Powers Act so important. Because it shows that this president, when it comes to things like this, is almost out of control.”
Schumer said:
“This is the way the president is conducting foreign policy."
"This may well be the way he’s conducting our interactions with Iran right now, impulsive and erratic, no strategy," Schumer added.
"And that’s why … what he tweeted, rather, makes enacting a War Powers Act so important," he continued.

"Because it shows that this president, when it comes to things like this, is almost out of control.”
Last week, Pelosi called on her fellow Democrats to vote on a "War Powers Resolution" that seeks to limit President Donald Trump's authority to take military action against Iran.
Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) wrote a letter to her Democrat colleagues in the House, revealing details of the resolution that amounts to a pre-emptive surrender to Iran in ongoing hostilities.
The move follows last week's US airstrike targeting Iranian terrorist General Qasem Suleimani that was authorized by President Trump.

On Monday, the House Speaker attempted to downplay the Iranian protesters uprising against their national leaders, suggesting that the citizens who took to the streets were there for 'diverse reasons' including support for slain terror-military commander Qasem Soleimani.
Pelosi said, "there were protesters in the street, joined together, as you know, against us. That wasn’t good."
"Taking down this plane is a terrible, terrible tragedy."
"There are different reasons why people are in the street," the House speaker added.
Iran initially denied claims that it had shot the plane down, but later admitted it was done in error.
