Barbra Streisand: Trump 'Obsessed' with Obama, He’ll 'Never Live Up to' His Legacy
Liberal actor attacks president over claims Obama funded Iran missiles
Liberal singer Barbra Streisand has blasted President Donald Trump, claiming he is "obsessed" with former President Barack Obama's legacy, insisting he "will never live up to" it.
Streisand was responding to Trump's claims that Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran had given them access to billions of dollars, and in turn, funding Iran's attacks against U.S. military bases on Tuesday following terror chief Qasem Soleimani's assassination.
Trump said in an address from the White House:
“Iran’s hostilities substantially increased after the foolish Iran nuclear deal was signed in 2013, and they were given $150 billion, not to mention $1.8 billion in cash.
“Instead of saying thank you to the United States, they chanted ‘Death to America,'” he continued.
“Then Iran went on a terror spree funded by the money from the deal and created hell in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Iraq.”

But Streisand interpreted the comments as Trump being 'obsessed' with Obama’s legacy, which she says he will "never live up to."
“Trump once again lies and obsesses about President Obama, whose legacy he’ll never live up to,” she wrote.
“Iran wasn’t given our money but sent their own frozen assets, and the amount is a fraction of what Trump claims.”

In December, Streisand gave an unsupported history lesson claiming the Founding Fathers envisioned the impeachment process as a way to stop aspiring despots such as Trump.
The leftists Grammy winner shared a New York Times op-ed titled, “Trump Is the Founders’ Worst Nightmare,” while suggesting that Trump engaged in a quid pro quo scheme, comparing him to an aspiring tyrant.
“From his blatant attempt to extort Ukraine using taxpayer money for a fake investigation of his political rival, there is a question that Trump aspires to be a despot, and impeachment is the sober process envisioned by the Founders to counter such a threat,” Streisand said.
Streisand also came under fire in October after she shared a cartoon depicting her president being murdered by Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Streisand tweeted the gruesome drawing on Saturday in an apparent attempt to express her displeasure with President Donald Trump during his ongoing feud with Pelosi.
