Mitch McConnell: Pelosi Blaming Trump for Iran Aggression is 'Nonsense'
The Kentucky Republican called the Islamic country a 'cancer' in the region.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for suggesting the Trump administration was responsible for Iranian aggression are “nonsense.”
McConnell slammed the House Speaker for jumping to blame the Trump administration as U.S. military bases were under attack in Iraq by Iranian missiles.
The Kentucky Republican also called for partisanship to be set aside as lawmakers decide on the adequate response to Iran should be.
He also called the Islamic country a “cancer” in the region.
“Let’s be clear. We can and should debate how to responsibly respond to Iranian threats but the notion that our administration is to blame for Iranian aggression — that’s nonsense,” Mr. McConnell said.

Mr. McConnell added the missile attacks prove Iran has made significant progress over the past decade.
New York Democrat, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, took to the chamber floor to express gratitude that there were no casualties, but still condemned the attack on Iran.
Schumer said the American people do not want war, and the administration has not given lawmakers enough information about its strategy on Iran.
“The president does not have the authority to wage [war],” Mr. Schumer said.

On Sunday, Pelosi called on her fellow Democrats to vote on a "War Powers Resolution" that sought to limit Trump's authority to take military action against Iran.
The House speaker wrote a letter to her Democrat colleagues in the House, revealing details of the resolution that amounts to a pre-emptive surrender to Iran in ongoing hostilities.
The move follows last week's US airstrike targeting Iranian terrorist General Qasem Suleimani that was authorized by President Trump.
As the leader of terrorist group Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IGRC) Quds Force, Suleimani was responsible for hundreds of Americans' deaths along with the recent attacks on the U.S. embassy in Baghdad.
