Trump: Obama Funded Iran's Missiles
President says 'previous administration' sent billions to Iranian regime, funding terror

During a White House press conference Wednesday, President Donald Trump revealed that the Obama Administration sent billions of dollars to Iran which was used to fund Iranian missiles and terrorism.
Trump said during the short statement that "the previous administration" sent over $150 billion to Iran, which the regime has used to "create hell" by funding its attacks against Americans and other middle eastern nations.
The president said that "instead of saying 'thank you'," Iran "chanted death to America" in response to Obama sending billions of US money to the country as part of the Iran Deal.
President Trump was speaking in response to the missile strikes launched by Iran against US troops at military bases in Iraq early on Wednesday.
Trump confirmed that no Americans were harmed during the strikes, saying "all US soldiers are safe."
At the begging of his speech, however, Trump warned that "while I'm president of the United States, Iran will never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon."

The president's comments about Obama echoed similar remarks by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Tuesday.
Cruz said he believes that the missiles launched by Iran at Iraqi airbases housing American soldiers were, "in a very real sense," paid for by the Obama administration who sent billions of dollars to Tehran in 2016.
Speaking with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Sen. Cruz said the former president wrongfully "appeased" Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which only empowered the regime.
"If you look at Iran policy, I think you've seen a dramatic shift [under President Trump]," he said.
"Under Barack Obama, as you noted, the policy was appeasement," he added.
"The policy under the disastrous Iran nuclear deal under Obama was to give over $100 billion to Iran."
Cruz also noted the $1.7 billion in cash, which was sent via airliner "on pallets, in the dead of night" to Iran.
The missiles used in last night's attack were funded through money given to Iran from the Obama administration.

President Trump is leading through strength, not by appeasement, and that strength is the best deterrent.

"In a very real sense, the missiles that we saw fired on U.S. servicemen and women tonight were paid for by the billions the Obama administration flooded the ayatollah with," he said.
"If history teaches anything, it's don't give billions of dollars to people who hate you and want to kill you."
Cruz added that Iran continues to be "exceptionally dangerous."

As Neon Nettle reported earlier this week, former President Barack Obama granted amnesty to Iranian terrorist Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in airstrikes by Trump last week, as part of the "historic" 2015 Iran Deal.
The Obama Administration removed Soleimani from a list of Iranian outlaws, along with other leaders of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, according to a 2015 article in The Telegraph.
In the July '15 report by the left-leaning newspaper, Defence Editor Con Coughlin declared that Iranian General Soleimani "fully deserves his reputation as one of the world’s leading terrorist masterminds."
For over a decade, he has been the driving force behind an array of Iranian-sponsored terrorist groups, from Hizbollah to Hamas, which have orchestrated a reign of terror throughout the Middle East, according to the report.
Found buried on page 86 of the annex of President Obama’s “historic” deal with Iran, Soleimani was granted amnesty and was taken off the list of proscribed Iranians – together with a number of senior members of the Islamic Republic's Revolutionary Guards.
In addition to giving in to the Iranian regime with the agreement granted in 2015, Obama continued to help it, trying to gain access to the United States financial system, thus circumventing the continuing sanctions on the country.
