Ron Howard Bashes Trump Ahead Of Golden Globes: ‘Morally Bankrupt Ego Maniac'
Liberal film director joins in on Hollywood's Trump bashing
Liberal Hollywood film director, Ron Howard, known for films like “Solo: A Star Wars Story” and “A Beautiful Mind,” bashed President Donald Trump ahead of the Golden Globes.
Howard tweeted on Wednesday:
“In the entertainment industry, many who have known/worked w/ Trump think that while his reality show was fun and ran a long time, he’s a self-serving, dishonest, morally bankrupt egomaniac who doesn’t care about anything or anyone but his Fame & bank account & is hustling the US."
Howard noted he had no interest in running for president, saying, “We need qualified and dedicated elected leaders.”
The director is among a large contingent of anti-Trump actors who have shown public disdain for the president and his administration.
Last month, Robert De Niro took a shot at Trump by targeting his children during an appearance on the liberal talk show “The View."
De Niro said he would disown his own kids if they behaved the way the president's do.
Co-host Joy Behar asked de Niro about past comments he’s made regarding Trump’s kids behaving like gangsters.
“I don’t want my kids to take this the wrong way, but if my kids did what these kids did, I wouldn’t want to be related to them,” De Niro said.

“He has to pay the consequences.” Actor Robert De Niro speaks out on the impeachment inquiry of Pres. Trump: “He did something wrong. He has to pay for it — period.” https://t.co/f8u2wbJuik pic.twitter.com/51yEPQubvx— The View (@TheView) December 16, 2019
The rally, which was unsurprisingly sponsored by the George Soros-funded Democrat organization MoveOn, was attended by 500 anti-Trump protesters ahead of the vote on articles of impeachment against the president.
“Fact, he has abused his power by attempting to bribe a foreign country for his own personal political benefit," Reiner ranted.
"Fact, he has obstructed Congress in covering up all of his wrongdoing, and fact, tomorrow, he will be the third president in the United States ever to have been impeached,” Reiner continued.
“We all care about the rule of law. We care about our Constitution," the director added.
