The president touted the poll on Twitter, saying 'the American people are smart'

President Donald Trump is leading the current 2020 Democratic presidential candidates in head-to-head matchups, a new poll has revealed.
Trump is beating top Democratic front runner Joe Biden by three percentage points in a head-to-head matchup, according to the new USA Today /Suffolk University poll of registered voters.
The president was also up by eight points and five points against Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.
Trump is also leading South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg by double digits.
The president touted the poll on Twitter, saying it showed "the American people are smart."
"The new USA Today Poll, just out, has me leading all of the Democrat contenders."

"That’s hard to believe since the Fake News & 3-year Scams and Witch Hunts, as phony as they are, just never seem to end," he concluded.
The poll sampled 1,000 voters between Dec. 10-14 with a margin of error of three percentage points.
The results reflect another poll from Monday, which showed Trump smashing top Democratic contenders.
The Democrats' push for impeachment seems to be having little or no adverse effect on the Trump campaign after it was revealed they raised a staggering $10 million in just one week, according to Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale.
On Tuesday, Neon Nettle reported support for Trump's impeachment had dropped significantly among Democrat voters by double-digits, according to a new CNN impeachment poll.
The new USA Today Poll, just out, has me leading all of the Democrat contenders. That’s hard to believe since the Fake News & 3 year Scams and Witch Hunts, as phony as they are, just never seem to end. The American people are smart. They see the great economy, & everything else!

According to CNN:
“Support for impeaching Trump and removing him from office stands at 45% in the new poll, down from 50% in a poll conducted in mid-November just after the conclusion of the House Intelligence Committee’s public hearings."
“Opposition to impeachment and removal stands at 47% in the new poll, up from 43% in November.”
Last week, the latest national, state, and combined average polls from recent days showed that the Democrat's impeachment push is backfiring.
The polls suggest that public support for impeachment is U-turning as the Democrats move forward with their attempt to remove the president from office.
“According to the Monmouth poll – which was released Wednesday – 50 percent said the president should not be impeached and removed from office, with 45 percent calling for impeachment and removal from the White House,” Fox News reports.
