Judge Gives Afghan Migrant 2 Years for Sexually Assaulting 5-Year-Old French Girl
27-year-old man from Afghanistan gets just two years in jail for attack in France

A French judge has jailed an Afghan migrant for just two years after the court found him guilty of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl in France.
The 27-year-old man from Afghanistan denied any wrongdoing, pleading not guilty to the horrific crimes during his trial at the Coutances correction court in Normandy, north-western France.
The jury found Ayub Miakhel guilty of sexually assaulting the young child in the French commune of Avrancheson the night of April 28th, 2018.
Despite Miakhel's plea of innocence, the overwhelming evidence presented to the court by the prosecution was enough for Miakhel to be found guilty of sexual assault, Ouest France reports.
Among the witnesses was the child's mother, who caught the military-aged man in bed with her young daughter.
The assault occurred at the residence of the convicted abuser, where he lived at the time with three other migrants – two Afghans and a Sudanese national.

The child’s mother testified that she was sleeping and awoke to find her 5-year-old daughter in the same bed as the Afghan man.
The child then told her mother that he touched her inappropriately and forced her to touch his genitals.
The mother then raised the alarm and alerted the neighbors who then contacted the police about the incident.
The perpetrator was arrested shortly after.
When the police interviewed the victim, she told them that the Afghan man had put his hand down her underwear.
The young girl told officers that Miakhel told her to touch his “hard sausage.”
Worryingly, this case isn't unique and is just the latest example of violent sexual assaults involving children in Europe.
Just last week, a UK court heard how a 12-year-old girl was "passed around like a piece of meat for sex" by a Middle Eastern migrant grooming gang.

The group of men is accused of repeatedly raping the young British child and selling her for sex.
Prosecutors at Birmingham Crown Court say the defendants raped the unnamed girl so many times over a period of two years that the victim "lost count" of the abuse.
The defendants in the case, Mohammed Ali Sultan, Amjad Hussain, Shafiq Younas, Nazam Akhtar, and Mohammad Rizwan, insist that the sex with the child was "consensual," however.
And in Sweden last month, four military-aged African migrants were charged with the brutal rape of a 13-year-old child.
The gang, from Eritrea, was charged with violently raping the young Swedish girl in a bathroom in Örebro county.
According to police, the men, all aged between 20 and 25, subjected the girl to an unmerciful and violent sexual attack in June, taking turns to rape the child after forcing her inside a bathroom in the city of Hallsberg.
Swedish broadcaster SVT reports that one of the gang even filmed the entire attack.
