Ilhan Omar Reads Islamic Prayer in Catholic Church During Christian Service - WATCH
Controversial Democrat posts video on Thanksgiving of her citing prayer

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) posted a video on Thanksgiving of herself speaking at a Catholic church in Washington, D.C, in January, citing a Muslim prayer in celebration of “multi-faith."
The video shows the Democrat at the altar of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church reading a common Islamic prayer.
“This is a prayer a read [sic] on the start of Congress and feel grounded in its blessings. Thank you all for standing with me and for our progressive movement!” Omar said.
“There is a prayer in Islam that says, ‘Allah, put courage into my heart, and take away all that might hinder serving you,'” Omar begins.
“Free my tongue to proclaim your goodness, that all may understand me.”

“Give me friends to advise and help me, that by working together, our efforts may bear abundant fruit,” she proceeded.
“And, above all, let me constantly remember that my actions are worthless unless they are guided by your hand.”
“Allah, may everything that I do start well and finish well. Sustain me with your power. And in your power, let me drive away (all falsehood, ensuring that truth may always triumph),” Omar ended.
The "multi-faith" celebration event was reportedly attended by Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), Rep. Donna Shalala (D-FL), and House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
On January 4, the president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Azhar Azeez, posted:
“Attended a Bipartisan Multi-faith prayer service for 116th Congress at St Peter’s Catholic Church in DC with Rep Ilham Omar -MN, Raja Krishnamoorti-IL, Rep Donna Edna Shalala- FL, Speaker Nancy Pelosi- CA and over two dozen other members of Congress followed by celebration events."
So far, it is not clear which other members of Congress spoke at the church.

Over the past year, Omar has been swamped in controversy with allegations ranging from anti-semitism to marrying her own brother.
In April, the Democrat responded to President Donald Trump's criticism of her anti-Israel comments by citing Islam's Holy Text and the Prophet Muhammad.
Trump called out the Democrat during a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas giving “special thanks” to Omar before adding in a sarcastic tone:
“Oh, I forgot. She doesn’t like Israel. I forgot. I’m so sorry," Trump said.
In August, Former Miss Iraq Sarah Idan accused Omar of pushing the oppressive Sharia Law onto America.
Idan was forced to flee her native Iraq after posting a selfie of herself, and Miss Israel on social media led to calls for her death from Islamic extremists.
Idan said Omar is "trying to push the ruling system" of Islam in America.
She added that Omar does not represent her as a Muslim.
“Ilhan Omar does not represent me as a Muslim — does not represent millions of Muslims in the Middle East,” Sarah Idan told “The Sara Carter Show.”
