George Soros-Funded Group Vows to 'Abolish ICE’ to Protect Accused Visa Fraudsters
United We Dream says the 'fake university' sting highlights the need to abolish ICE
A George Soros-funded open borders lobbying group has declared that “we need to abolish” the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to protect foreign nationals accused of visa fraud.
This week, Democrats expressed outrage following the recent ICE sting, which used a fake university to snare illegal immigrants posing as students.
The operation resulted in visa fraud charges and deportations for around 250 illegal immigrants.
Justice Department officials stated, “100 percent of the foreign citizen students never spent a single second in a classroom” due to the fact that the fake university is not providing educational services an had no teachers.
A portion of the foreign nationals had transferred to the fake university after leaving schools that lost accreditation.
According to federal agents, foreign students enrolled at the fake university, knowing they would not be receiving an actual education.
Amongst those arrested were the recruiters accused of aiding the international students.
Soros' group, United We Dream, said the case highlights the need to abolish ICE in order to end all interior immigration enforcement.
“All year, ICE has been running a fraudulent university to bait and arrest (mostly Indian) immigrants looking for a chance at higher education,” the group wrote on Twitter.
“They’ve arrested 250 people. This agency is vile. We need to #AbolishICE!”

Abolish ICE. https://t.co/9uMtKmyEI1— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) November 27, 2019
This is cruel and appalling. These students simply dreamed of getting the high-quality higher education America can offer. ICE deceived and entrapped them, just to deport them. https://t.co/t6kQLiV5oh— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) November 27, 2019
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez echoed the sentiment tweeting “abolish ICE."
Meanwhile, Sen. Elizabeth Warren called it “cruel and appalling.”
The Trump administration was heavily criticized for coming up with the fake university operation despite it being started under Barack Obama in 2015.
Soros’ Open Society Foundation partly funds United We Dream.
The group also works with the Soros-funded American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)
on promoting an end to national borders and amnesty for all illegal aliens.
There are around 40,000 foreign students in the U.S. considered to be “diploma mills,” - institutions posing as universities to provide foreign nationals with diplomas and student visas.
