CNN Admits Impeachment Witnesses Never Meeting Trump a ‘Problem’ for Democrats
Jeffrey Toobin says vocal observation from Trump's defenders was 'legitimate'

A CNN analyst admitted House Democrats have a "problem" following the first public hearing in their impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump.
State Department official George Kent and U.S. diplomat Bill Taylor bother gave their testimonies in the open and were interviewed for several hours on their 'knowledge' of Trump's conduct with Ukraine's president.
Republican lawmakers questioned the witnesses about their previous testimony, which profoundly relied on second- and third-hand knowledge.
CNN Chief Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin even admitted that the vocal observation from Trump's defenders was "legitimate."
"The one criticism of these two witnesses, which I think is very much legitimate -- it's not really a criticism, it's a factual statement, is that neither of them had direct contact with the president," Toobin said.

"Ever," CNN anchor Jake Tapper emphasized.
"Ever," Toobin replied.
"And, that's a problem if you're going to impeach the president."
Toobin also noted the "large new development" was Taylor testifying that one of his aids witnessed a conversation Trump had with U.S. Ambassador to the E.U Gordon Sondland.
Taylor alleged Trump invoked "investigations" about the Bidens following his July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Republican Sen. #RandPaul (R-KY) has blown the #Democrats' argument for the #impeachment of President Donald Trump, by highlighting a law that undermines their reasoning.

On Wednesday, Democratic House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed that he didn't "know the identity" of the whistleblower.
During the first of the live-televised public hearings, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) asked Schiff when the committee might be able to vote and have the whistleblower come and testify regarding his complaint against the president.
Jordan said that Schiff was the “only member” that knows the identity of the whistleblower.
“I do not know the identity of the whistleblower, and I’m going to make sure that identity is protected,” Schiff claimed.
Daily Mail reporter David Martosko said:
“Adam Schiff claims he doesn’t know the identity of the Ukraine whistle-blower."
"How is this possible? His staff met with the person.”
