Hillary Appears on ‘The Late Late Show' to Bash Trump, Fuels Presidential Run Rumor
Failed presidential candidate makes surprise appearance on show
Twice failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton appeared on Tuesday’s edition of the Late Late Show with James Corden to mock President Donald Trump, fueling more speculation she is preparing to run for president.
Clinton made a surprise impromptu appearance with her daughter Chelsea during Corden’s monologue, as the pair received a prolonged standing ovation from the audience.
“I’m really fed up with all your Trump jokes. Every single night,” Hillary joked.
“If anyone should be telling Trump jokes … it’s me.”
Corden then gave both Clintons a chance to take shots at Trump and his former press secretary Sean Spicer, who gained support from the president as he continues to compete and win on Dancing with the Stars.
“I can’t blame Trump for trying to help Sean Spicer,” Hillary explained.
“But if it’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that these guys really can’t win the popular vote.”
Corden then asked Hillary what her advice would be to the 2020 Democratic candidates who could face Trump in the general election.
“Just be really prepared,” Hillary said.
“As hard as it is with him to try and talk about facts and truth compared to what he says, be prepared anyway to try to make your case and just keep going at him and don’t give him an inch.”
The former secretary of state also said she was surprised by Rudy Giuliani’s recent work with Trump as his personal attorney:
“I mean, he was a tough guy, he was a mayor, he was mayor during 9/11, I was a senator, I worked with him,” she said.
“I don’t know what happened. It’s almost like aliens have seized his brain. Truly he’s been possessed.”
Clinton's frequent media appearances are fueling speculation that she may be preparing a run in 2020.
Last month, Former Bill Clinton advisor Dick Morris said he believed Hillary is preparing to run for president again in 2020, saying the twice-failed presidential candidate thinks "God put her on the Earth" to be POTUS.
Morris predicted Sunday that Hillary Clinton is seeking any opening she can find to join the race and run for the presidency again in 2020.
Neon Nettle reported in October that it was likely Democrats are preparing to drop support for the current Democratic presidential nomination frontrunners, and back Hillary Clinton in the 2020 race for the White House.
