Joy Behar Suggests Democrats Should Take Guns from Americans Without Warning - WATCH
The View host says 2020 Dems should keep gun confiscation plans secret until after elected
The far-left host of "The View," Joy Behar, has suggested that 2020 Democrats should keep their plans to confiscate guns from law-abiding Americans a secret until after the election.
Behar proposes that Democratic candidates could win the election by keeping quiet on their anti-Second Amendment policies, only to later surprise the public by confiscating their firearms, without warning.
Behar made the calls during Monday’s broadcast of the show while the hosts were discussing former Rep. Beto O’Rourke's (D-TX) failed 2020 presidential candidacy.
During his campaign, O’Rourke’s famously declared that, as president, he would enforce a mandatory gun "buyback" program, forcing law-abiding Americans to surrender automatic rifles.
Co-host Joy Behar commented on Beto’s calls for a ban on assault-style weapons, offering suggestions for other 2020 Dems to move forward with his plan.

Behar said, “They should not tell everything they’re going to do.
"If you are going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected and then take them away.
"Don’t tell them ahead of time.”
Co-host Meghan McCain responded, saying: “By the way, that’s what people like me think you’re going to do.
"So I appreciate his honesty.”
After leading gun confiscation advocate Beto bowed out of the race, former Vice President Joe Biden commented on O'Rourke's anti-Second Amendment push.
Biden heaped praise on O'Rourke, saying his "passion" for gun confiscation is "inspiring."
Biden was responding to news that former Texas Democrat Rep. O'Rourke was dropping out of the race for the Democratic nomination.
The former VP pointed to O’Rourke’s anti-Second Amendment pledge to push for gun control by confiscating automatic rifles from law-abiding American citizens.
Beto's gun control efforts were characterized by his vows to force people to hand over their AR-15 and AK-47 rifles to his government.
During a Democrat Debate on September 12, 2019, Beto stated, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15.”
He then doubled-down on his pledge by telling MSNBC the confiscatory policy would be “mandatory” not voluntary.
