Joe Biden Defends Hunter's Dealings In Ukraine: 'He Did Not Do a Single Thing Wrong'
2020 hopeful attempts to clear his son's name in CBS interview

Former Vice President Joe Biden defended his son Hunter Biden's dealings in Ukraine, which led him to be appointed to the board of directors of Burisma Holdings despite the fact he had zero experience in the energy sector.
During an interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Biden said his son “did not do a single thing wrong,” arguing those investigations back it up.
“[Hunter] was already on the board, and he’s a grown man,” Biden outlined.
“And it turns out he did not do a single thing wrong as everybody’s investigated.”
Biden vowed not to give his children jobs in his administration if he were elected president.

The Presidential candidate then slammed the Trump family and Jared Kushner, saying they “know nothing about” working in the White House.
Earlier this month, Biden's son stepped down from the board of a Chinese-backed private equity company in an effort to disavow all foreign work if his father is elected president.
Hunter made the drastic move a month after President Donald Trump publicly called out conflicts of interest in Biden’s work in Asia.
Biden's legal counsel George Mesires released a statement saying he is ending his relationship with the management company of a private equity fund that’s backed by Chinese state-owned entities.

But Hunter Biden didn't state whether he will be divesting from BHR (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Company.
Biden's son earlier this month broke his silence on his business dealings in Ukraine and China.
Speaking during an interview with left-leaning ABC News, Hunter admitted that it was a "mistake" for him to enrich himself "in the middle of something that is a swamp."
However, Biden blamed his "poor judgment" for making those lucrative associations.
“In retrospect, look, I think that it was poor judgment on my part,” Hunter Biden explained.
“Is that I think that it was poor judgment because I don’t believe now when I look back on it — I know that there was — did nothing wrong at all.
"However, was it poor judgment to be in the middle of something that is a swamp in—in—in many ways? Yeah.”
