Alabama Candidate Calls for Conservative 'Squad' to 'Fight Socialists in the Swamp'
Republican congressional candidate vows to take on AOC and socialism

A new Republican congressional candidate has emerged in Alabama, who is calling for a conservative "squad" to take on progressive Democrats and "fight socialists in the swamp."
Businesswoman Jessica Taylor has announced she is running for Congress and declared Tuesday that America needs conservatives who can counteract the ideology of Democratic socialists like Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.
During an appearance on "Fox & Friends," Taylor made the call for a new generation of conservatives.
Taylor describes herself as pro-life, pro-family, pro-Second Amendment, pro-Trump and anti-socialism.
Taylor said that she was "sick of arrogant socialists like AOC ( Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez)," in a viral campaign video for a U.S. House seat.

The AOC Squad has "never even run a lemonade stand," she blasted, but they are "trying to tell us how to live in Alabama and that more government is the answer."
"I'm pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-wall, and pro-Trump, and I won't apologize for it," she said.
Taylor said she is looking for like-minded "folks who could go toe-to-toe with people like AOC and her 'Squad.'"
"We need somebody who can convince my generation and others that more government is not the answer. More government is the problem," Taylor told the "Friends" hosts.
"We are small-town Alabama and looking forward to representing the people of this district," said Taylor, arguing that the "country was founded on small business and private citizens who can make a difference."
"[Socialism] concerns me greatly and that's why I'm running."
"More government is not what we need. ...
"We've got to get back to our fundamental values," said Taylor, whose husband previously served in the Alabama State Senate.
"Our freedom is at stake here."

Taylor joined the race to replace Rep. Martha Roby, a Republican who announced in July she will not seek reelection.
Taylor is the founder of a consulting firm called Azimuth, which "specializes in finding and managing government and private sector grants," according to WSFA-TV.
