Trump Slams The Bidens: They 'Got Rich While America Got Robbed’
President calls out former Vice President and his son's corruption at rally
President Donald Trump said during his rally in Dallas, Texas, that former Vice President Joe Biden's family reaped the rewards from China while America lost wealth.
“The Bidens got rich while America got robbed,” Trump told the crowd.
The president noted that Biden’s son Hunter Biden secured a $1.5 billion investment for the Chinese state-backed private equity fund after he traveled with his father to the country in 2013.
On Sunday, Hunter Biden stepped down from the board of a Chinese-backed private equity company to disavow all foreign work if his father is elected in 2020.
Biden's son made the drastic move a month after President Donald Trump publicly highlighted conflicts of interest in Biden’s work in Asia.
Biden's legal counsel George Mesires released a statement saying he is ending his relationship with the management company of a private equity fund that’s backed by Chinese state-owned entities.
But Trump insisted that the episode was part of a pattern of Democrat corruption.
“Tonight, we forcefully condemn the blatant corruption of the Democrat party,” he said.
“They never pay the price, but maybe soon that will start.”

He argued that past leaders allowed China to pillage the United States economically.
“I blame our leaders for allowing this horrible, you know what and pillage, it’s the r-word,” he said, referring to the word “rape.”
Trump said it did not look like the former Vice President would win the Democrat nomination amid the corruption scandal.
“Just look at the terrible foreign corruption of the Bidens,” he said.
“I hate to talk about him, you know why? I don’t think the guy’s got a chance. Sleepy Joe, I don’t think he’s got a chance.”
Last week, China announced it wouldn't investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, over accusations of corruption.
Trump suggested China should look into the 2020 hopeful and his son's suspicious dealings in the country.
