China has announced it won't investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, over accusations of corruption.
Last week, President Donald Trump suggested China should look into the 2020 hopeful and his son's suspicious dealings in the country.
Foreign ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said in a statement:
“China has long pursued the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries,” he said, The South China Morning Post reported.
“We have no intention of intervening in the domestic affairs of the United States. Our position is consistent and clear.”

Last week, Trump floated the idea that China and Ukraine should probe the Biden family.
“China should start an investigation into the Bidens because what happened in China is just about as bad as Ukraine,” the president said ahead of a visit to Florida.
The Biden campaign charged that Trump's comments were "equivalent" to his call in 2016 for Russia to release Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's emails if they had obtained them by hacking — which U.S. intelligence agencies later assessed to be the case.
Trump later defended his public and private requests for foreign governments to probe the Bidens.

Trump declared his commitment to end corruption on Twitter:
"As President, I have an obligation to end CORRUPTION, even if that means requesting the help of a foreign country or countries,” Trump wrote.
Trump made the remarks after he repeated his request to Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, and suggested that China do the same.
“This has NOTHING to do with politics or a political campaign against the Bidens,” Trump wrote.
“This does have to do with their corruption!”
When Trump was asked what he wanted the Ukrainians to do about the Bidens, he said he wanted them to investigate.
