Gowdy: Schiff is a 'Fact Witness' After Reports Whistleblower Contacted His Office
Former U.S. rep weighs in on Trump-Ukraine whistleblower case

Former U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy slammed House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., saying he made himself a "fact witness" after revelations his office had contact with the Trump-Ukraine whistleblower.
Speaking on "The Story with Martha MacCallum" on Friday, Gowdy Said:
"Right now he's made himself a fact witness."
"He is in the evidentiary chain for what happened with this whistleblower, and I hope the Republicans make him testify."

Gowdy slammed Schiff after he was awarded “Four Pinocchios” by the Washington Post on Friday, reporting he failed to tell the truth about his knowledge of the whistleblower.
According to Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler, Schiff has played a leading role in investigating the Trump-Ukraine scandal but has not been truthful in the process.
"I think you got four [Pinocchios] only because you can't get five," Gowdy joked.
"He got the maximum sentence you could get from the Washington Post fact-checker -- and don't you know how hard that was for the Washington Post to give Adam Schiff four Pinocchios?"

The former South Carolina congressman called Schiff a "career offender" when it came to the truth.
He also asked how long House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would put up with Schiff.
"The same guy that had the parody a week or so ago, the same guy that says he has evidence that even [former Special Counsel Robert] Mueller couldn't find," Gowdy said.
"The question I had is, How long is Speaker Pelosi going to put up with Adam mishandling this investigation?"
On Saturday, Former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik called for Schiff to be arrested and "charged with conspiracy to commit treason."
Speaking to Fox News this week, Kerik called the Trump whistleblower a "covert operative" who is "part of the Democrats' attempted coup" against the president.
Kerik says the unidentified White House whistleblower is working against the current administration in concert with some lawmakers.
"I can't wait for these so-called hearings," Kerik told "Fox & Freinds."
"Because I think you're going to find out there [were] communications between the congressional staff and the alleged whistleblower. "
"I don't like calling him a whistleblower," Kerik continued.
"He's a covert operative that was within the administration that put this stuff out there."
