Trust in Media Plummets Amid Democrats' Impeachment Push
Just 13% trust media ‘a great deal' - survey reveals

As the Pelosi's impeachment inquiry continues to dominate the headlines, trust in the establishment media has dropped down to 41%, as a mere 13% of the nation showing an “a great deal” of confidence in what the media reports, a new national survey revealed.
Back in 2016, then-presidential candidate Donald Trump put a spotlight on "fake news," and the latest Gallup survey also uncovered divide among partisans over their view of the media.
Most noticeably, Republicans are dismissive of the media, while Democrats embrace it.

According to the data:
- 69% of Democrats, 15% of Republicans, 36% of independents trust media.
- 13% trust the media "a great deal," and 28% "a fair amount."
- Fox News is the only national news source with majority-level trust from Republicans.
- Democrats “trust” six national news sources, CNN, NPR, CBS, ABC, NBC, and national newspapers.
- Republicans “much more likely than Democrats” to perceive "bias, inaccuracy, and misinformation."
In July, Neon Nettle reported CNN saw its ratings plummet even further in 2019 as one of its recent decisions has also brought its credibility into question.
While Fox News averaged 1.3 million viewers in the second quarter ratings for cable shows, CNN saw well below half of that with 541,000 total viewers.
The gap in primetime was even more pronounced, with Fox News as number one and CNN in 15th place, averaging 761,000 viewers to Fox’s 2.4 million.

According to Forbes, CNN’s second-quarter viewership average was 18 percent lower than in 2018.
Since Nancy Pelosi announced tue formal impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, the media has continued to spin the facts, including ignoring Joe Biden's increasingly apparent corruption with Ukraine.
Pelosi said on Tuesday:
"The president must be held accountable" for the "betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security, and the betrayal of the integrity of our elections."
Earlier this month, Trump took the mainstream media to task, revealing that his 2020 campaign's only real opponent is the "fake news media."
Trump blasted the "LameStream Media" for writing "whatever they want" in a Labor Day tweet.
The president argued that that establishment media news outlets "are now beyond Fake, they are Corrupt."
“The LameStream Media has gone totally CRAZY!" Trump told his Twitter followers.
