Trump: 'Dummy Beto' Wants to 'Take Your Guns Away'
President shreds 2020 hopeful Beto O'Rourke over gun control push

President Donald Trump shredded Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke on Wednesday, blasting the 2020 hopeful as a "dummy" who wants to "take your guns away."
Trump was criticizing former Texas Rep. O’Rourke over his recent calls to ban AR-15s and AK-47s.
“Dummy Beto made it much harder to make a deal,” President Trump posted on Twitter.
“Convinced many that Dems just want to take your guns away. Will continue forward!”

Trump hinted that he may continue working with Democrats to pass some sort of legislation to help crack down on mass shootings.
Details of any such deal have yet to emerge, however.

According to Breitbart, O’Rourke drew criticism from Congressional Democrats after he declared that, “Hell yes we’re going to take your AR-15″ in the last Democrat debate.
In response, fellow 2020 candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg said O’Rourke’s stance made it harder for Democrats to reach a deal on expanded background checks or red flag laws.
“Shit, that is not enough,” O’Rourke responded to Buttigieg, after the South Bend mayor argued that even President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell were “pretending to be interested” in some gun control measures.

Despite the ongoing discussions with Democrats, Trump has promised to protect the right to keep and bear arms.
“Left-wing Democrats want to confiscate your guns and eliminate your God-given right to self-defense,” he told supporters during a rally in New Mexico on Monday.
He declared that “As your president, I will never allow them to take away your liberty, your dignity, … and I will never, ever, allow them to take away your sacred right to keep and bear arms.”

As Neon Nettle previously reported, Beto's Democratic 2020 rival Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) has also pledged to introduce extreme anti-Second Amendment laws that would force law-abiding Americans to surrender their guns to the government.
California Democrat Harris is the latest presidential candidate to call for extreme gun control measures, forcing Americans to relinquish their assault weapons.
Harris says US citizens would be legally required to "sell" their weapons to her government under her proposed new laws.
She promises to “buy back” the rifles and “give people their value” for the confiscated firearms, however.
Harris made the radical calls during a Monday appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
When asked by an audience member what her policy on assault weapons would be, Harris said that “we need to do buy-backs.”
"They are weapons of war with no place on the streets of a civil society," she added.
