28% of Democrats Say it Should Be Illegal to Be an NRA Member, Poll Says
Democrats said the NRA should be declared a terrorist organization

Twenty-eight percent of Democrats say that it should be illegal to be a member of the National Rifle Association, according to a new Rasmussen poll.
The survey, which was conducted out of 1,000 likely voters, found that 32 percent of Democrats said the NRA should be declared a terrorist organization.
Last week, San Francisco officially voted to declare the National Rifle Association of America (NRA) a "Domestic Terrorist Organization."
The California "sanctuary city" decided to focus its attention on battling the NRA, while ignoring its soaring homelessness and crime epidemic.

The city's Board of Supervisors unanimously passed the resolution last Tuesday, urging the rest of the country to "do the same."
San Francisco is accusing the NRA of mustering "its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence."
Anything else from the poll?
Fourteen percent of Republicans agreed with labeling the NRA a terrorist organization, while 15 percent said being an NRA member should be illegal, according to the poll.
Among the likely voters, 47 percent say NRA members are less likely to commit a gun crime.

Additionally, 57 percent of all Americans believe tougher enforcement of existing gun control laws is more important than creating new gun control laws, according to the poll.
The poll also found that most Americans with guns in their homes said they make them feel safer.
Seventy percent agree that "it's not the gun that pulls the trigger; it's the person that pulls the trigger."
Rasmussen said the poll was conducted Sept. 5 and 8, adding that the margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points.
