Ilhan Omar Funneled Campaign Money to Man She Had Affair With, Docs Show
Democrat paid $230,000 to Tim Mynett - who she had an affair with, according to his wife

Controversial Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) reportedly funneled $230,000 of campaign funds to Tim Mynett - the man she allegedly had an affair with, according to his wife's divorce filings.
In divorce documents filed this week, Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett says her husband had an extra-marital affair with "Squad" member Omar, citing the relationship as one of the reasons for separation.
Since 2018, Tim Mynett’s E. Street group has received large sums of money for fundraising consulting, digital communications, Internet advertising, and travel expenses, records show.
Rumors of the 37-year-old congresswoman's affair with prominent Washington political consultant Mynett emerged when the pair was spotted back in March at a California restaurant.
The affair has now been confirmed by Mynett's wife in her divorce filings.
Beth Mynett claims her husband made a “devastating and shocking” revelation that he was having an affair with Omar.

Beth Mynett, 55, submitted divorce papers in Washington, D.C., Superior Court on Tuesday, saying her husband, Tim Mynett, 38, informed her earlier this year that he was having an affair with Omar.
"Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett says her cheating spouse, Tim Mynett, told her in April that he was having an affair with the Somali-born US representative and that he even made a 'shocking declaration of love' for the Minnesota congresswoman before he ditched her, alleges the filing, submitted in DC Superior Court on Tuesday," The New York Post reported.
Court documents reviewed by the Post said that Tim Mynett, 38, and Jordan Mynett, 55, "physically separated on or about April 7, 2019, when Defendant told Plaintiff that he was romantically involved with and in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar."
The Post added: "The 37-year-old congresswoman and mom of three paid Tim Mynett and his E. Street Group approximately $230,000 through her campaign since 2018 for fundraising consulting, digital communications, Internet advertising, and travel expenses."
According to the Daily Wire, investigative reporters Jordan Schachtel and Luke Rosiak both weighed in on the financial disclosures that were made in the report.
Schachtel sarcastically tweeted: "Oh okay. No corruption there."

Rosiak tweeted: "Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) is being criminally prosecuted and facing prison for using campaign funds to fund extramarital affairs.
"What will the Minnesota U.S. Attorney do?"

Investigative reporter David Steinberg, who has extensively reported on the marriage fraud allegations against Omar, noted that Omar allegedly entering the couple's home while the wife was away was a damning indictment on her moral judgment.

"I've avoided @IlhanMN's affair. The only newsworthy element was the large payments," Steinberg tweeted.
"But ... Omar *entered the wife's home while she was away*. WOW. Voters deserve to know that."
"That is an objectively disturbing claim about @IlhanMN's moral judgment," Steinberg continued.
"It has nothing to do with complicated adult relationships.
"Entering the home, even if invited by Mynett, is troubling.
"Still think she can't be the multiple felon all the evidence shows her to be?"

Still think she can't be the multiple felon all the evidence shows her to be?
The Daily Mail reported last month that Omar had split from her second husband as controversy continued to mount over her marital history.
"The bust-up comes just as critics are demanding answers as to whether she married her own brother in a successful bid to get him into the United States," The Daily Mail reported.
"Omar has now dumped her current husband Ahmed Hirsi — who she first married in a religious ceremony in 2002 and divorced in 2008 — and moved into a penthouse apartment in one of Minneapolis's trendiest neighborhoods, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively."
