Democratic Congresswoman Refers To Antifa As 'Peaceful Protesters'
Comment came during a Saturday evening interview on CNN amid clashes in Portland, Oregon

Democratic Rep. Debra Haaland of New Mexico referred to the violent far-left group Antifa as "peaceful protesters" who are merely trying to "safeguard their city."
The out of touch comment came during a Saturday evening interview on CNN amid clashes in Portland, Oregon.
The fighting led to o 13 arrests as the groups clashed over the weekend.
On Saturday, President Donald Trump announced on Twitter there is “major consideration” being given to designating the far-left group Antifa as a terrorist organization.
“Major consideration is being given to naming ANTIFA an ‘ORGANIZATION OF TERROR,’” the president tweeted.
“Portland is being watched very closely. Hopefully, the Mayor will be able to properly do his job!”

Cabrera began by reading Trump's tweet before asking:
"I do want to note, the U.S. does not have a domestic terrorism law. No government agency designates domestic groups as being domestic terrorism organizations. What's your reaction to that tweet?"
"This is on par with what the president does. He sides with the white supremacists, he sides with the white nationalists, with the domestic terrorists in our country," Haaland said.
"He's incited violence against people of color."
Update to @MrAndyNgo supporters — he is being admitted to the hospital overnight as a result of a brain bleed. You sick “journalists” and other hacks gloating about this should be ashamed. As for the rest, please pray for @MrAndyNgo who we need back in health — brave man!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️ https://t.co/XYVy4EbIzv

Portland is a progressive city. They want to ensure that they keep their city moving forward."
"It's not surprising that Trump would side away from the folks who are the peaceful protesters working to safeguard their city from domestic terrorism. Just not surprised at all that the president sides with the white nationalists," she continued.
"That's been his mode of operation since before he was elected president."
In June, conservative journalist, Andy Ngo, was brutally assaulted while he was covering Antifa protesters.
The journalist was kicked, punched, and had milkshakes thrown on him by the left-wing thugs, which was all captured on video before going viral on social media.
