'One Million Moms' Launches Boycott of Whole Foods Over Drag Queen Event
Christian advocacy group resists 'Drag Queen Story Hour.'
Christian advocacy group One Million Moms responded to Whole Food's recent sponsorship of a “Drag Queen Story Hour” event in Atlanta by launching a boycott on the chain.
The group, which is a division of American Family Association, said Whole Foods was “a retailer that once promoted organics and clean food,” but now is “exploiting America’s children to be ‘groomed’ by drag queens.”
The Drag Queen Story Hour in Atlanta has Whole Foods as its primary sponsor with the event even being endorsed by the city’s mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms.
Both NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and NFL’s Atlanta Falcons sponsored the event held in June at city hall.
Bottoms tweeted an invitation to drag queen in April:
"Miss Terra Cotta Sugarbaker [aka Steven Igarashi-Ball] and all of our LGBT friends” to go to Atlanta for a Drag Queen Story Hour event.
But the invitation was extended after an Alpharetta library branch pulled its event.
The controversial Drag Queen Story Hour events target young children and parents as many critics argue it's not entertainment but manipulation of children's ideology.
Last year, one drag queen even admitted that the events are not just about “entertainment.”
Dylan Pontiff, whos drag name is Santana Pilar Andrews, said the event’s purpose is “the grooming of the next generation.”
Pontiff told Lafayette City-Parish Council, “I am not there to push any kind of agenda.”
"I’m here to let you know that this event is something that’s going to be very beautiful and for the children and the people that supported are going to realize that this is going to be the grooming of the next generation. We are trying to groom the next generation to not see the way that they just did."

Houston MassResistance exposes "Drag Queen Story Hour" cross-dresser as registered child sex offender! Library officials forced to apologize to public. See explosive video! https://t.co/SDfN8rPCGx pic.twitter.com/dNWMEjJdEe— massresistance.org (@MassResistance) March 17, 2019
In March, parents were outraged after discovering that a convicted pedophile was hired to dress in women's clothing and read stories to their children.
Houston Public Library hired the sex offender, previously charged with sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy, for their "Drag Queen Storytime" program.
The event saw drag queens read stories to young kids.
The liberal program is a growing trend in the US, but it has been met with widespread criticism.
LifeSiteNews archived photos in October a laughing drag queen, Anthony Hudson, aka “Carla Rossi,” lying on the floor as children fondled him.
But the photos were quietly removed from Flickr following a massive backlash.
Jeremy Graybill, Multnomah County Library’s marketing and online engagement director, insisted the events “explore ideas of difference, diversity, and inclusion through stories, music, and costume," according to The Blaze.
“The library serves a diverse population with a broad range of interests, preferences, and needs,” Graybill explained.
“We strive to reflect our communities’ needs in selecting programs, books, and other materials.”
In June, Drag queens, who performed during a "teen pride" event at a local library, were accused of handing flavored condoms and lube to children, according to a parent who claims she was ejected from the public building.
One Million Moms petition has already racked up 9,000 signers to date.
“I will not shop at Whole Foods Market as long as your company is supporting Drag Queen Story Hour,” the petition states.
“I find it irresponsible that your company is exploiting America’s children to be ‘groomed’ by drag queens in hopes to indoctrinate children into transgenderism and homosexuality.”
