Black Youth Unemployment Plummets to Lowest Level in History Under Trump

The American economy is producing more jobs than ever for younger African-Americans under President Donald Trump, according to reports.
The unemployment rate for African-Americans between the ages of 16 and 19 plummeted to 17.7 percent, the lowest rate since government records began in n the early 1970s.
According to the most recent data from the Department of Labor, a total of 762,000 young African-Americans had jobs in July.
That number is the highest on record.

African-American youth unemployment is significantly down compared to last year when it was a seasonally adjusted 19.4 percent.
The workforce over that period grew by 50,000.
But White youth unemployment actually increased, from 11.0 percent to 11.4 percent.

The radical gap in unemployment, as a result, has contracted to 6.3 percentage points, also a record low.
As Neon Nettle reported last year, despite black American unemployment being higher than other demographic groups, it has never fallen below 7 percent since the Bureau of Labor Statistics launched its monitoring of the statistic in 1972.
The unemployment rate for Hispanics is 4.5 percent, Whites are at 3.4 percent, and Asians stand at 2.7 percent.
In May, the black unemployment rate fell to 5.9 percent, a historical record.
Transportation and warehousing have added 192,000 jobs, while manufacturing has increased by 288,000, according to BLS.
The 155,000 jobs generated in November came short of expectations predicted by economists, CNBC reported.
