Michael Moore: Michelle Obama is the Only Person Who Could 'Crush' Trump in 2020
Liberal filmmaker says former first lady has best chance in election
Speaking on MSNBC following Wednesday night's presidential debate, Moore said the four leading Democratic candidates could still beat Trump, but lose the electoral college.
"The only way to remove Trump is to crush Trump," he said.
"Who is the street fighter that can crush Trump?" he asked.
"And frankly, I think there’s a person that could do this, if the election were held today, there is one person that would crush Trump — and she hasn’t announced yet."
"And her last name rhymes with Obama. In fact, it is Obama. Michelle Obama."
"Everybody watching this right now knows she is a beloved American and she would go in there, and she would beat him, she would beat him in the debates, he wouldn’t be able to bully her, he wouldn’t be able to nickname her and she is beloved, all — just go to C-SPAN and follow her book tour across the country," Moore said.
"She’s playing 15,000-seat arenas in the Midwest. They have to turn people away," Moore continued.
Moore believes that if Michelle were asked to serve, she would.
The current Democratic candidates failed to make any significant waves during the presidential debate on Wednesday.
Last year, Moore said that Democratic presidential candidates had no chance of beating Trump, urging the party to consider "beloved American" Michelle Obama.
Last month, Moore admitted Trump was winning and slammed the Democrats for putting their faith in "frail old man" Robert Mueller following his disastrous testimony before Congress.
The hearing in which Mueller testified was widely regarded as a disaster for the Democratic Party after many Dems were seemingly expecting bombshells from the former special counsel.
Moore criticized Democrats for inviting Mueller to testify, declaring the move will ensure that President Donald Trump will "win."
“A frail old man, unable to remember things, stumbling, refusing to answer basic questions,” Moore said about Mueller following the hearing.
