Antifa Not Planning Siege of El Paso To Push 'Border Resistance,' Despite Reports
Conservative journalist and victim of far left group warns of their plans

Leftwing groups are reportedly planning a "call-to-action" campaign in El Paso, Texas to raise awareness of alleged abuses at the U.S.-Mexico border, but there's no evidence this includes Antifa, despite reports from Conservative journalist Andy Ngo.
UPDATE: An earlier version of this report stated that Antifa was planning as "siege" of the border. After further review, it has been found that this claim is not accurate. While several left-wing groups have announced a "call to action" gathering for "border resistance" in El Paso, Texas, starting on September 1, 2019, the organizers are "Indigenous and QTPOC (Queer, trans, people of color)" with no indication of Antifa involvement. The story has been updated to reflect this change.
The exercise dubbed the “Border Resistance” will involve “militancy training tour that will converge on a 10-day siege in El Paso, TX,” Ngo tweeted on Monday.
The images on the promotional posters show border enforcement officers being killed and government property firebombed.
Organizers are asking for “white comrades to pay for others.”

Ngo was brutally assaulted while he was covering Antifa protesters earlier this month.
The journalist was kicked, punched, and had milkshakes thrown on him by the left-wing thugs, which was all captured on video before going viral on social media.
Last week, President Donald Trump said he was considering officially labeling Antifa as an "Organization of Terror."
In a tweet, Trump called members of the group "gutless" and likened their actions to those of the deadly street gang MS-13.
The president also highlighted his previous criticism that Antifa "wack jobs" only attack people who are "non-fighters" and never target tougher opponents such as Bikers for Trump.

“Consideration is being given to declaring ANTIFA, the gutless Radical Left Wack Jobs who go around hitting (only non-fighters) people over the heads with baseball bats, a major Organization of Terror (along with MS-13 & others),” Trump posted on Twitter.
Even though Antifa frequently uses intimidation and violence tactics, they are supported by certain liberal progressives and also portrayed positively (at least partially) by some in the media.
The self-proclaimed Antifa member, who was shot and killed by police earlier this month after attempting to attack an ICE detention center with flammable devices, was previously celebrated on a CNN program.
Critics say Willem Van Spronsen, 69, was glorified by CNN before the attack took place.
Spronsen sent a manifesto to friends the day before he launched his attack, in which he declared: "I am Antifa."
