"It's lost its nerve. I mean, this is not — I don't believe that the vast majority of Republicans in the Congress feel this way — but right now he owns the Republican Party," Biden said.

"[Trump] has, between redistricting that's taken place, gerrymandering, and unlimited money, he has been able to [control the Republican Party.]

It doesn't make it justified what they're doing, but I think that's the reason, not because they agree on all these things."

Biden praised the Democrats on a Morning Joe interview that aired on Tuesday morning, seemingly unaware that both Reps. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) recent antics may cost the Democratic Party the presidency and the House in 2020, according to a new internal Democrat poll in swing districts released on Sunday.

Bidens' remarks come a day after the Ocasio-Cortez, and three other female freshman lawmakers condemned President Donald Trump's tweets were he said they should, "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came."

On Friday, Ilhan Omar said the president “shouldn’t be in the office,” in response to similar criticisms from Trump.

Trump's remarks echo those of Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who was attacked by Omar last week after he accused her of being the "fire alarm" that exposes the dangers of unfettered immigration.“She isn’t grateful," Carlson said in regards to Omar's attitude.
