Radical far left group Antifa attempted to disrupt a “Demand Free Speech” rally while clashing with police on Saturday in Washington, D.C, according to reports.
Also attending the event was Members of Black Lives Matter D.C.
A group of District of Columbia police officers was assigned to prevent violence at the rally, according to The Post.
A clash between the conservative Proud Boys group and members of Antifa was broken up by police.
Antifa members were seen pulling objects into coming traffic in the rally area, according to The Times.
Up until this point, no arrests have been made according to District police Chief Peter Newsham
Authorities strived to avoid a repeat of last months violence in Portland, where police were forced to use tear gas against demonstrators.
Conservative journalist Andy Ngo posted photos of his injuries after Antifa attacked him in Portland.

Ngo lawyer later warned Antifa she plans to sue them “into oblivion.“
"Goodnight everyone except Antifa criminals who I plan to sue into oblivion and then sow salt into their yoga studios and avocado toast stands until nothing grows there, not even the glimmer of a violent criminal conspiracy aided by the effete impotence of a cowed city government,” Harmeet K. Dhillon wrote.
Last week, an official White House petition went viral calling for President Donald Trump to label violent left-wing group Antifa as "domestic terrorists."
Thousands of citizens signed the "We the People" petition that will earn an official response from the Trump Administration should it reach its goal of 100,000 signatures.
The move follows the brutal assault of journalist Andy Ngo by a pack of Antifa thugs over the weekend.
For many, this vicious assault was the final straw, and people are now demanding an end to the violence from the leftist group.
