MSNBC Refuses to Air President Trump's 4th of July Live Event
The left-leaning network continues anti-Trump rhetoric
As viewer ratings continue to plummet, liberal news network MSNBC is now refusing to air President Trump’s “Salute to America” live event for the Fourth of July, while other networks such as Fox News and C-SPAN will go ahead with the broadcast.
Though the network won't stream the event live, a spokesperson said it would assess in real time whether to air clips from the National Mall, featuring a speech from Trump at the Lincoln Memorial, a flyover by Air Force One, military aircraft, and fireworks display, according to Politico.
MSNBC host Joy Reid criticized the event saying the display of military vehicles in the nation’s capital was suggestive of leaders such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un.
CNN is still to confirm whether it will cover the event.
Meanwhile, Fox News has set aside two hours Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. EST to cover it.
C-SPAN has confirmed it will cover the “Salute to America” starting at 6:15 p.m, along with ABC, CBS, and NBC.
MSNBC enjoyed high ratings throughout the Special Counsel's Russia probe but later took a nosedive after it was concluded there was no collusion between the Trump administration and Russia.

“[Rachel] Maddow, who has consistently vied for the first or second top-rated cable news program, was sixth on Monday evening, down almost 500,000 total viewers from the previous Monday, as was MSNBC’s second top-rated program in primetime, ‘The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell.’”
The network faced backlash in April after confronting Special Counsel Robert Mueller at a church where he was attending an Easter service with his family.
MSNBC reporter Mike Viqueira was reporting from outside the church.
"So the — Bob Mueller, the director — the former director of the FBI, of course, the special prosecutor — special counsel attended church services just across Lafayette Park here at St. John's Episcopal Church," Viqueira told MSNBC's, Joy Reid.
"Of course, that is known as the church of the President. President Trump and Melania Trump were there just recently."
"We knew that he was going to be, he's been there. He’s been there in the past, so we waited for him," Viqueria continued.
