Jerry Nadler Praises AOC's Holocaust Comparisons To The Southern Border
Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee defends socialist rep
Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Jerry Nadler praised Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's comparison of the Holocaust to the U.S. border, saying the government's immigration facilities are an 'assault on our common morality.'
"One of the lessons from the Holocaust is ‘Never Again’ - not only to mass murder, but also to the dehumanization of people, violations of basic rights, and assaults on our common morality," New York Democrat Nadler said on Twitter.
"We fail to learn that lesson when we don’t call out such inhumanity right in front of us."
Socialist Democrat Ocasio-Cortez told her millions of social media followers that President Donald Trump and his administration are "running concentration camps on our southern border."
"The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border, and that is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps," she said Monday.
"The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing, and we need to do something about it," the freshman congresswoman, 29, added.
Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was also caught lying defending her false claims:
Instead of apologizing for the offensive remarks, Democratic socialist Ocasio-Cortez doubled down on her outrageous claims but has been caught lying in the process.
"This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying," she said.

And for the shrieking Republicans who don’t know the difference: concentration camps are not the same as death camps.— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) June 18, 2019
Concentration camps are considered by experts as “the mass detention of civilians without trial.”
And that’s exactly what this administration is doing.

House Nancy Pelosi admitted she had not talked to Ocasio-Cortez about her statements, but added that Democrats should be careful "about how politically charged the atmosphere is."
"‘They come to represent their districts and their point of view, and they take responsibility for the statements they make," the California Democrat said Wednesday.
"We are deeply disturbed by the language used in your recent Instagram live video which seeks to equate the detention centers on America's southern border with Nazi-era Concentration Camps," the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York said in a letter sent to Ocasio-Cortez Tuesday.
The Democrats moral high ground on references to the Holocaust has been questioned after Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) was called to resign after an anti-Jewish tirade that has been widely regarded as anti-Semitic earlier this year.
“I think she should either resign from Congress or she should certainly resign from the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” Trump said of the freshman lawmaker.
On Monday Omar apologized for suggesting that U.S. support for a Jewish state is the result of funds running from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a pro-Israel lobbying group.
