Sanders’ Desperate Attack on Trump: He's a 'Racist, Sexist, Homophobe'
Socialist 2020 hopeful slams president ahead of Rally
Just prior to Trump's hugely successful rally for his 2020 re-election campaign Tuesday evening, Socialist presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders delivered a somewhat desperate attack on the president calling him a "racist, sexist, homophobe and religious bigot."
Speaking with MSNBC's host Andrea Mitchell, Sanders was asked what he thought about Trump's plan to live tweet the first Democratic debate next week.
“Look, he can tweet all that he wants to tweet, but let me just say this,” Sanders said in response.
“You have a president who, despite what one of his supporters mentioned a moment ago, is, in fact, a pathological liar, he is a racist, he is a sexist, he is a homophobe, and he is a religious bigot.”
Sanders went on to brand Trump a"phony," and accused him of lying to voters about the realities of his tax policy and healthcare budget plans.
“I suspect that tonight in his speech, he will not tell them that he tried to throw 32 million people off of health care, that his last budget called for a trillion and a half dollar cut over 10 years to Medicaid, massive cuts to Medicare, billions in cuts to social security," Sanders said.
“Massive income and wealth inequality, tens of millions of families living paycheck to paycheck, those are the issues that I will talk about during this campaign, and I think goes with the issues that the average American understands are the important issues," he said.
Trump spoke to thousands of supporters in Florida on Tuesday vowing "finish what they started" in 2016.

“The fact is the American dream is back and bigger and better and stronger than ever before,” Trump said.
“As long as you keep this team in place, we have a tremendous way to go,” he continued.

Sander's socialist policies
Last week, Sanders argued that if his socialist policies were carried out, Americans would be "delighted to pay more in taxes."
Sanders made a bold attempt to sway voters towards the notion that Democratic socialism is the answer, arguing that in favor of what he termed an "Economic Bill of Rights."
