AOC Tells Her Followers Trump is 'Running Concentration Camps on Our Border'
Ocasio-Cortez compares illegal immigration facilities to the Holocaust

Celebrity Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has told her millions of social media followers that President Donald Trump and his administration are "running concentration camps on our southern border."
"That is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps," Ocasio-Cortez said during a live-stream on her Instagram account that currently has 3.6 million followers.
The false accusation that the US Government is committing acts similar to those of the Nazis during the Holocaust has caused outrage across social media.

AOC refused to respond to a request for comment from Fox News and other outlets, but has since posted a screenshot from her live-stream that includes a comment from one of her followers, praising the radical lawmaker for "how accessible and down-to-earth @AOC is on social media."

During her live stream, Ocasio-Cortez told her followers she wants to talk to people "who are concerned enough with humanity to say that 'never again' means something."
"The fact that concentrations camps are now an institutionalized practice in the Home of the Free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it," the freshman Democrat continued.

The New York representative insists that "we are losing to an authoritarian and fascist presidency."
"I don't use those words lightly," Ocasio-Cortez continued.
"I don't use those words to just throw bombs.
"I use that word because that is what an administration that creates concentration camps is.
"A presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist and it's very difficult to say that."

The vice president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) responded to Ocasio-Cortez's remarks, blasting her comparisons as "disgusting."
Art Del Cueto expressed his frustration with her statements during a Tuesday morning appearance on "America's Newsroom."
"It's disgusting to compare concentration camps to what the men and women are doing here protecting our country," he said, giving a firsthand account of what he's observed at border facilities.
Del Cueto added that he would personally escort Ocasio-Cortez around a facility to prove his point about the humane treatment given to migrants.
He asserted that the freshman lawmaker should "crack open a history book" about the Holocaust before making such comparisons.
"It is definitely a slap in the face to a lot of those people who had family members who actually went through concentration camps," he said.
Ocasio-Cortez has repeatedly called for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be abolished, arguing in February that "Latino people are descendants of Native people" and should not be subject to US immigration laws.
