Democrats Implode After Trump's Victory Over Mexico with Immigration Deal
President's historic deal infuriates Nancy Pelosi and other Dems

Following President Donald Trump's successful deal forcing Mexico to crack down on the flow of illegal immigrants into the US, Democrats have slammed the president, suggesting he 'undermined America’s preeminent leadership.'
Late on Friday night, Mexico signed a deal with the United States, agreeing they would take action against the flow of illegal immigrants, marking a massive victory for Trump.
Trump's impending tariff hikes caused the country to buckle.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) released a statement following Trump's historic deal, saying he had “undermined America’s preeminent leadership role in the world” with his tariff threats on Mexico.

“We are deeply disappointed by the Administration’s expansion of its failed Remain-in-Mexico policy, which violates the rights of asylum seekers under U.S. law and fails to address the root causes of Central American migration,” Pelosi said.
“Threats and temper tantrums are no way to negotiate foreign policy.”
The Remain-in-Mexico policy that Trump expanded calls for foreigners to be held there, rather than the U.S., as they await asylum hearings.
Trump hit back at Pelosi.
“Nervous Nancy Pelosi & the Democrat House are getting nothing done. Perhaps they could lead the way with the USMCA, the spectacular & very popular new Trade Deal that replaces NAFTA, the worst Trade Deal in the history of the U.S.A. Great for our Farmers, Manufacturers & Unions!” he wrote.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Trump no longer needs to talk about illegal immigration, now that he had solved the problem.
“This is a historic night!” Schumer wrote on Twitter.
“@realDonaldTrump has announced that he has cut a deal to ‘greatly reduce, or eliminate, Illegal Immigration coming from Mexico and into the United States.’ Now that that problem is solved, I’m sure we won’t be hearing any more about it in the future.”
Unlike the president’s half-baked plan to impose tariffs on Mexico, Democratic proposals do not threaten the U.S. economy

When the president inevitably retreats from his tariff threat which may be as soon as this afternoon, we should proceed to these commonsense policies instead pic.twitter.com/WqPMBWuh5B

Schumer had earlier predicted Trump would fail to achieve a deal with Mexico.
“Unlike the president’s half-baked plan to impose tariffs on Mexico, Democratic proposals do not threaten the U.S. economy When the president inevitably retreats from his tariff threat which may be as soon as this afternoon, we should proceed to these commonsense policies instead,” he wrote Wednesday.
As Neon Nettle previously reported, Mexico was already showing signs of compliance after federal police and military were dispatched to southern Mexican border to send migrants back to Guatemala on Friday.
Hundreds of migrants were met with Mexican soldiers, armed police and migration officials as they crossed the border from Guatemala in a caravan into southern Mexico, according to reports.
Dozens of migrants were detained by police, according to one witness from a migrant aid group.
