MSNBC Defends Bette Midler After She Suggests Trump Should be Stabbed
Left leaning news network say Donald Trump 'hates strong women'

Following Bette Midler's recent slew of attacks on Presdient Donald Trump, MSNBC failed to remain neutral by siding with the liberal actor and calling the president's response "an embarrassment."
Middler unleashed her tirade against Trump on Twitter last week, first sharing a debunked Donald Trump quote, then suggesting the president should be stabbed.
The Debunked quote read:
“If I were to run, I’d run as a Republican. They’re the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe anything on Fox News. I could lie, and they’d still eat it up. I bet my numbers would be terrific."
Snopes wrote on the debunked quote:
“Despite People‘s comprehensive online content archive, we found no interview or profile on Donald Trump in 1998 (or any other time) that quoted his saying anything that even vaguely resembled the words in this meme.”

“Trump appeared somewhat regularly in the magazine’s pages before he came to star on The Apprentice, but the bulk of the magazine’s celebrity-driven coverage of him back then centered on his marriages too and divorces from, Ivana Trump and Marla Maples,” the website added.
Her followers rightly roasted the actor for spreading misinformation, forcing her to offer an apology.
"I apologize; turns out to be a fake from way back in '15-16," Midler tweeted on Monday.
"Don't know how I missed it, but it sounds SO much like him that I believed it was true."
Trump responded by blasting her as a "washed up psycho" and a "sick scammer."
"Washed up psycho @BetteMidler was forced to apologize for a statement she attributed to me that turned out to be totally fabricated by her in order to make “your great president” look really bad," Trump tweeted.
"She got caught, just like the Fake News Media gets caught. A sick scammer!"
Midler responded by suggesting someone "shiv" the president, a word used to describe stabbing someone.
I apologize; this quote turns out to be a fake from way back in ‘15-16. Don’t know how I missed it, but it sounds SO much like him that I believed it was true! Fact Check: Did Trump say in '98 Republicans are dumb? https://t.co/NY9s6V49el via @rgj

“He actually looks better here! Maybe someone in his camp can gently give him a shiv. I mean, shove,”
Many Twitter users claimed the liberal actor essentially called violence against the President of the United States.
But she later deleted the tweet.
On MSNBC's "Deadline: White House," the panel seemed to side with Midler, only focusing on Trump's response and not the actor's call for violence.
"He loves to call women 'psychos.' He loves to call women 'crazy.'
"This is just a continuation of his pattern of behavior his whole life where he hates strong women. He can't deal with strong women," MSNBC political analyst Elise Jordan said.
"So right when you're being hosted by Queen Elizabeth, arguably one of the most powerful women in the world, this is where your mind is."
MSNBC's Jeremy Bash branded Trump's tweet an "embarrassment."
"This is so cringeworthy to have a symbol of the United States of America, the American president, traveling overseas during a state visit with the Royal Court also in commemoration of one of the most sacred days in our nation's- in our world's history," Bash said.
"The president is acting like a stand-up comic, he’s tweeting late at night, he’s making non-clever jokes, and he’s embarrassing our country and the values that America stood for from World War II forward.”
Since the conclusion of the Mueller report, MSNBC has seen their rating plummet.
The Daily Beast reported' “[Rachel] Maddow, who has consistently vied for the first or second top-rated cable news program, was sixth on Monday evening, down almost 500,000 total viewers from the previous Monday, as was MSNBC’s second top-rated program in primetime, ‘The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell.’”
Another left-leaning biased news network who have created their own demise.
