Al Sharpton: 'Sexist' Trump 'Intimidated' by 'Smart Woman' Pelosi
Former Obama advisor blasts Trump for sharing video of House speaker stammering
Former Obama advisor Reverend Al Sharpton blasted President Donald Trump during a Friday night TV interview, calling his president "sexist" and claiming he's "intimidated" by Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Sharpton was responding to Donald Trump's recent viral Twitter video of Nancy Pelosi "stammering" through a press conference, which has triggered outrage from the left.
On Friday, Trump uploaded a video to his Twitter account featuring a highlight clip from Fox Business in which anchors discuss the senior Democrat and analyze her future as speaker of the House.
The hosts review a compilation of clips from a recent presser in which Pelosi appears confused and stutters several times.
“PELOSI STAMMERS THROUGH NEWS CONFERENCE,” he wrote as a caption for the video.

The Washington Post reported on Friday that distorted videos of Speaker Pelosi, which have been altered to make her sound as if she’s drunkenly slurring her words, are spreading rapidly across social media.
The newspaper examined a video - not the one that Trump shared - and compared it to an unaltered version to highlight how the video had been slowed down and doctored in other ways.
Taking the conclusion from the WaPo report, MSNBC's "Deadline" somehow made the leap that Trump is also editing videos and sharing them on social media to further discredit the House speaker.
During a discussion on the show about the president allegedly tweeting a manipulated video which was slowed down to make it appear Pelosi is slurring her words, Sharpton blasted “sexist” President Trump, claiming he's "intimidated" by intelligent women.
Host Nicolle Wallace said, “I wanted to cover it without furthering his smear of Nancy Pelosi, which had the intent of doing exactly what he did to Hillary Clinton, who fell ill at an event, on 9/11 I think, in New York.
"This is part of the sexism of Donald Trump where he makes a woman look feeble, and part of the debasement of our politics where he tweets someone in a doctored video.”
Sharpton said, “Absolutely I think it’s sexist. He does not do it to men.
"I think he’s intimidated by smart women.
"Nancy Pelosi is smarter than Donald Trump and he is intimidated by that.
"If you notice, every time there’s a meeting with them, he completely falls apart.
"He went berserk the other day, there’s no other way to describe it.
"I think that his misogyny and his being unraveled by a smart woman. He just can’t help it.”
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also responded to Trump's video on Friday, slamming the president for spreading “sexist trash.”
While speaking at the Harris County Democratic Party’s annual luncheon in Houston, Clinton accused Trump and his “cronies” of “running around spreading a doctored video of Nancy Pelosi,” according to USA Today.
"Now, it is sexist trash," Hillary said to cheers from the crowd, according to the newspaper.
"But it is also a sign that Trump is running scared.”
"So if you believe in the rule of law and the responsibility that we all have to hold our leaders accountable, then we cannot relent on this front either," she added.
