Trump to Invoke Insurrection Act to Remove Illegal Immigrants from US, Report
Trump intends to invoke the 'tremendous powers' of the act to remove illegal immigrants

President Donald Trump is reportedly planning on using the Insurrection Act to remove illegal immigrants from the United States, according to reports.
Trump intends to invoke the “tremendous powers” of the act to remove illegal immigrants from the country, according to multiple senior administration officials.
“We’re doing the Insurrection Act,” one official said.
The Insurrection Act of 1807 permits the president to use the National Guard and military to combat “unlawful obstruction or rebellion” within U.S. borders.
George H.W. Bush invoked the actin 1992 to suppress the Los Angeles riots, while Eisenhower used it in 1957 to enforce school desegregation in the south.

But an official said that the president's use of the act’s powers would face legal challenges, recounting the lawsuits against the president’s travel ban from majority-Muslim countries.
Despite the lawsuits, the travel ban eventually prevailed in the Supreme Court.
According to The DailyCaller: In addition to the Insurrection Act, the president is also considering declaring the country full and commanding that the U.S. can no longer handle the massive influx of illegal immigrants.

“If you take a ship and it holds 1,000 people maximum — one more person and the ship is going to collapse,” the official explained.
“The country is full.”
“Our hospitals are full, our detention centers are full,” they added.
ICE facilities were forced to release 100,000 illegal immigrants in the first three months of 2019 because of overcrowding in detention centers.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced preparations to deploy hundreds of officials to help the Department of Homeland Security at the southern border amid the ongoing immigration crisis.
Earlier this month, the Trump administration efforts to “return” order" on the southern border saw a massive increase in the self-deportation of illegal immigrants, according to the Department of Justice.
The figures, which was collected and published by the Marshall Project on Tuesday, revealed that “voluntary departures” under the Trump administration is now at a seven-year high, with 29,818 applications filed year.
