Trump: ‘In America, We Don’t Worship Government, We Worship God’

President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence addressed the National Rifle Association (NRA) annual convention in Indianapolis, reminding Americans that the foundational blocks for life are “faith and family” and not the worship of government.
“We know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the center of American life. Above all else, we know this: in America, we don’t worship government; we worship God,” Trump said.
Trump, in his speech, spoke of the vast improvements that the U.S. economy has seen within the small time frame of two years since his administration took office.
More specifically, unemployment levels have reached a record low.

In July last year, Trump's booming economy created 36,000 manufacturing jobs for American workers despite deafening silence amongst mainstream media outlets.
“Unemployment recently achieved its lowest rate in 51 years, and very shortly it should be the lowest rate in the history of our country,” Trump said.
Data published U.S. Department of Labor (pdf) revealed jobless benefits dropped to 192,000 in the week ending April 13, down 5,000 from the week before - meaning less than 59 out of 100,000 Americans applied for the benefits—a record low.
Moreover, unemployment among Hispanics and black males has seen record lows.
Trump also defended the second amendment and American's right to bear arms.
“We believe in the rule of law, and we will always protect and defend the constitution of the United States,” Trump said.
“There are some people that are running right now; I don’t think that have that number one on their list.
“We believe in the wisdom of our founders. We believe in freedom and liberty and the right to keep and bear arms.
“And we believe in the right to self-defense and the right to protect your family, your community and your loved ones.”
Heading to Indianapolis to speak at the big NRA Conference. Love being in Indiana. The @NRA is getting stronger & stronger and doing some really great and important work. Having their powerful support has been vital to #MAGA!

Trump added: “I promise to defend the second amendment rights of every American and I always will.”
According to The Epoch Times: Chris Cox, executive director of NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) said: “Donald Trump is the most enthusiastic supporter of the Second Amendment to occupy the Oval Office in our lifetimes.”
He added: “President Trump’s Supreme Court appointments ensure that the Second Amendment will be respected for generations to come. Our members are excited to hear him speak and thank him for his support for our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.”
After the conference, Trump emphasized his administration’s focus to put the American people first.
“Every day of my administration, we are taking power out of Washington, D.C. and returning it to the American people, where it belongs.
“And you see it now better than ever. With all of the resignations of bad apples. They are bad apples. They tried for a coup; it didn’t work out so well. And I did not need a gun for that one, did I?”
Trump added: “I’m with you. I will never ever let you down.”
