Ilhan Omar Blasted Over Comments About Notre Dame Cathedral Burning Down
Democrat fails to use the words 'church,' or 'holy ground,'

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) tweeted following the news of the catastrophic fire that consumed most of the famed Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, where she failed to mention a few important words.
Omar did not use the words 'church,' or 'holy ground,' instead, she termed the Catholic Cathedral as "Art and architecture," which didn't go down too well on Twitter.
"Art and architecture have a unique ability to help us connect across our differences and bring people together in important ways," posted Rep. Omar.
"Thinking of the people of Paris and praying for every first responder trying to save this wonder."

The Democrat's response was immediately pulled apart for its vagueness.
One Twitter user, Carmine Sabia posted:
A Christian Church burns and she is concerned about art and architecture. I wonder if that would be her take if Mecca burned.
Another Twitter user responded:
Something happened in some country.
Conservative commentator and National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch Tweeted:
"Well, the 'architecture' that the art was housed in is a cathedral. While Biblically Christ is wherever His people are, Notre Dame is a significant and storied icon of faith."

Art & architecture? It was a house of worship. A Catholic Cathedral.

It wouldn't have been difficult for you to acknowledge that. https://t.co/BUW4i3pFUU

Radio host Larry O'Connor took are more sarcastic approach by posting "Art and architecture."
"Art & architecture?" former congressman and radio host Joe Walsh asked.
"It was a house of worship. A Catholic Cathedral. It wouldn't have been difficult for you to acknowledge that."
Omar is still reeling after she ignited outrage when she downplayed the 9/11 attacks while giving a speech at an event for a terrorist-linked organization.
Democrat Omar trivialized the deadliest terrorist attack in U.S. history during her recent appearance at an event for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) — a group designated by the United Arab Emirates as a terrorist organization.
At the event, while speaking about 9/11 - which killed approximately 3,000 American citizens - Omar dismissed the terror attacks by downplaying it as "some people did something."
"CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties," Omar said.
