Nancy Pelosi Forgets Which State She’s in During Press Conference: WATCH

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi forgot what state she was in during an embarrassing moment while introducing Majority Leader Steny Hoyer at a press conference.

The California Democrat realized the error, mid-speech, saying “Oh, no! We’re in Virginia,” after telling the Virginian press conference that they were in the "great state of Maryland."

Pelosi was speaking at a press event marking the start of the Democratic Issues Conference in Leesburg, Virginia on Wednesday.

Speaker Pelosi told the crowd she was pleased to be “in this great state of Maryland” – before realizing she was in a different state and fumbled her way to the end of the introduction.

Pelosi said she should’ve known what state she was in, because “the president is talking about George Washington right now.”

“The people’s interests, not the special interests, will be served," Pelosi told members of the press in Virginia.

"And, that has an impact both on how people view what’s happening in Washington and on what the results are in Washington as well," she continued.

“With that, I’m pleased to be here with our leadership of the House and House Democrats, and pleased to yield in this great state of Maryland, to our Leader of the Congress from the – oh no! We’re in Virginia.

“I should know because the President is talking about George Washington right now.

“Oh, my gosh.

“If you have any questions about that, I’ll be pleased to answer later.

"But from the great state of Maryland, the other side of the Potomac, our distinguished Leader, Mr. Hoyer.”

In February, during a Trump-bashing speech, while visiting the US-Mexico border, Pelosi appeared to struggle to form coherent sentences, making several similar errors.

The senior Democrat can be seen fumbling for words and stuttering her way through the address that was designed to undermine President Trump's push for a wall along the United States Southern Border.

Pelosi was at the Southern Border to share a hug with a Mexican official and affirm her opposition to President Donald Trump’s national emergency declaration.

The ceremony was sponsored by the Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association of Laredo, which brings together officials from Mexico and the U.S. to promote friendship during an annual event.

“I’ll remember this trip for years to come,” Pelosi wrote on Twitter.
