State lawmakers are expected to introduce a new bill soon

New York Democratic lawmakers are desperately trying to change state law to obtain President Donald Trump’s tax returns, according to reports.
State lawmakers are expected to introduce a new bill that would enable the commissioner of the New York Department of Taxation and Finance to release any state tax return demanded by leaders of three congressional committees for any “specific and legitimate legislative purpose,” the New York Times reported.
The bill would permit the release of corporation taxes, personal income taxes, and real estate transfer taxes.
