Omar Cites Islam Holy Text In Response to Trump Mocking Her 'Anti-Israel' Stance
President calls out Democratic lawmaker for anti-Semitism

US Representative Ilhan Omar has responded to President Donald Trump mocking her criticism of Israel by citing Islam's Holy Text and the Prophet Muhammad.
Trump called out the Democrat during a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas giving “special thanks” to Omar before adding in a sarcastic tone: “Oh, I forgot. She doesn’t like Israel. I forgot. I’m so sorry.”
Omar faced a barrage of criticism following accusations of anti-Semitism after she suggested pro-Israel lobby group AIPAC influenced American politics.

Critics accused the Lawmaker of anti-semitic slurs, which she was forced to apologize.
The lawmaker responded to Trump’s remarks by quoting the words of Prophet Muhammad cited in the hadith - Islam’s revered recollections of the life of the prophet.
Last week, Omar blasted Trump's America during an interview with a Middle Eastern magazine, declaring that living in “ugly” American society is "an everyday assault."

In an interview for Vogue Arabia that was published Friday, the radical Minnesota lawmaker claims that "every day” she is "threatened" and "demonized" due to the "ugliness" that she says is ingrained in the US populace.
Omar, 37, used the interview to criticize the United States and blast its people to the publication's Arabic audience, accusing President Trump of "tapping into an ugly part of our society and freeing its ugliness."
Throughout the interview, Omar didn't disclose the reason why she chooses to live in the United States after fleeing Somalia and claiming asylum in the US in the 1990s.
