Tests Reveal 'Child' Migrant, 17, Who Tried to Claim Asylum Was 47 Years Old
Men in France try to take advantage of measures aimed at aiding underage asylum seekers
Two illegal migrants who tried to claim asylum by saying they were both minors were busted by police after their fingerprints revealed otherwise, according to reports.
The men, who claimed they were both 16, presented themselves to officers a police station in the commune of Angoulême in south-west France to try and take advantage of the measures aimed at aiding underage asylum seekers Charente, according to Libre.
One man, who said he was from the African nation of Mali, was revealed to be 21 years old.
But the second man, who presented police with a birth certificate from Guinea, was 47 years old.
The man's fingerprints were correlated to a passport he had used to enter Spain, exposing his real age.
The department of Charente has seen a huge increase in asylum claims from migrants claiming to be minors, but as a result, the depart has developed relationships with several different countries helping them verify claims.
Last year, police in Montpellier based network from the Ivory Coast who were forging documents which helped adult migrants claim asylum as minors.
Christophe Barret, the Prosecutor of the Republic of Montpellier, saw similar age lies to the men in Angoulême saying:

“Recently, an isolated minor supported by the county council of Hérault had said he was 17 years old. The department had doubts. Extensive verifications have formally confirmed that he was 32 years old, in fact.”
The migrants who forged the documents defrauded French taxpayers by almost ly a million euros in benefits they were not qualified for.
But it's not just France.
Last year, a Swedish dentist was fired after he revealed that over 80 percent of his refugee ‘children patients' were adults, exposing a cover-up of Sweden's 'unchecked' immigration.
Bernt Herlitz, a dental hygienist from the Swedish island of Gotland, was persecuted by authorities when he released actual data revealing the truth behind what is happening behind the scenes of Sweden's immigration problem.
Herlitz was analyzing the teeth of “unaccompanied” minor migrants who began arriving in their droves to the Scandinavian country.
