Trump Shreds ‘Young Bartender’ Ocasio-Cortez: She Has Democrats 'Petrified'
President blasts socialist Democrat AOC and her Green New Deal

Presdient Donald Trump has shredded "young bartender" Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and blasted her Green New Deal, saying the Democratic socialist has Democrats "petrified."
President Trump mercilessly mocked the New York lawmaker and her Green New Deal on Tuesday night, according to The Hill.
"Trump told House GOP lawmakers at the National Republican Congressional Committee dinner that he didn't want to be too critical of the Green New Deal because he hoped to campaign against it," reports the outlet.
"He went on to chide Ocasio-Cortez without explicitly naming her."

According to the Daily Wire, the president characterized the Green New Deal as a ridiculous piece of legislation that Democrats are too afraid to openly denounce because of Ocasio-Cortez's popularity with the progressive base.
"The Green New Deal, done by a young bartender, 29 years old," Trump said.
"A young bartender, wonderful young woman. The Green New Deal. The first time I heard it I said, 'That’s the craziest thing.'
"You have senators that are professionals that you guys know that have been there for a long time ... and they’re standing behind her shaking. They’re petrified of her."
President Trump's scorn for the Green New Deal follows comments he made last week during an interview on Fox News with Sean Hannity in which he called the bill "crazy," admitting he hopes the Democrats fully support it.
"Well, I don't want to speak badly about the New Green Deal, Sean, because, frankly, I’m afraid they will stop using it because I really do want to campaign against it," Trump said.
"It's ridiculous, all right, it's crazy. It will cost $100 trillion. Nobody knows what that means."
"That means it's more money than you have in the world," Trump continued.
"And it will be catastrophic. It’s not going to happen.
"It's just talk. The New Green Deal is ridiculous, but I don't want to speak badly because I want them to keep going forward with it."

Indeed, the Green New Deal has become a rallying cry for Republicans to characterize the Democrats as increasingly extremist.
The bill has so little support from establishment Dems that when Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) brought it up for a vote on the Senate floor, a vast majority of Dems simply voted present.
Ocasio-Cortez accused McConnell of rushing the bill to a vote in order to humiliate her.
"What McConnell’s doing is that he’s trying to rush this bill to the floor without a hearing ... without working through committee — because he doesn’t want to save our planet," Ocasio-Cortez told Vox reporter Ella Nilsen.
"Because he thinks we can drink oil in 30 years when all our water is poisoned."
Mitch McConnell later fired back in a separate tweet that he "could not be more glad" to expose the "Green New Deal" for the socialist farce that it is.
"I could not be more glad that the American people will have the opportunity to learn precisely where each one of their senators stand on the 'Green New Deal': a radical, top-down, socialist makeover of the entire U.S. economy," he wrote.
