Trump Mocks Joe Biden on Allegations: ‘Having a Good Time, Joe?’
Former vice president's anticipated 2020 run may already be dead in the water
President Donald Trump has finally broken his silence on the mounting allegations of inappropriate behavior by Vice President Joe Biden.
On Tuesday, Trump spoke at the National Republican Congressional Committee’s Spring Dinner seemingly suggesting that Biden was being 'taken care of' by Bernie Sanders supporters, who, according to a Daily Beast report, where driving the allegations.
“We’re going into the war with some socialists,” Trump said, according to The Hill report.
“And it looks like the only non-sort of heavy socialist; he’s being taken care of pretty well by the socialists.”
“They got to him,” said Trump, referring to Biden.
“I was going to call him. I don’t know him well. I was going to say, ‘Welcome to the world, Joe. You having a good time, Joe? Are you having a good time?'”
Despite a source telling the Daily Beast that Biden's team believed that the delegations were “all coming out of Bernie world," the Sander team issued a denial.
According to Fox News:
Neither the Bernie Sanders campaign nor anyone involved in it, planted, planned, persuaded, cajoled or otherwise urged Lucy Flores or anyone else to tell their story.
Full stop, period, end of the sentence. I don’t want to hear it. We didn’t play a role.
Biden responded to the recent allegations from a female Nevada politician who claimed he kissed her without consent in 2014 saying he 'did n't recall' acting inappropriately.
.@KellyannePolls on @JoeBiden: If anybody just types in “Creepy Uncle Joe Videos” you come up with a treasure trove…I think Joe Biden has a big problem here because he calls it affection and handshakes, his party calls it completely inappropriate. pic.twitter.com/MKbbw2mUIC— FoxNewsSunday (@FoxNewsSunday) March 31, 2019
But mounting video evidence of 'creepy Joe Biden' contradicts his claims.
Biden responded to the accusations:
“In my many years on the campaign trail and in public life, I have offered countless handshakes, hugs, expressions of affection, support and comfort. And not once - never - did I believe I acted inappropriately,” Biden wrote.
A further two women came forward today accusing Biden of inappropriate touching, totaling four accusations.
Biden is still yet to announce his 2020 bid, but it already looks like it may be dead in the water.
The The New York Times reported the most recent accusations against the former Vice Presdient.
But it's not just the accusations that threaten Biden's anticipated 2020 run, many videos across social media of Biden acting inappropriately towards women are also becoming the subject of much debate.
During the video, Biden appears to be "overly affectionate" with serval of the Senators' wives and children as they pose for photos in the Old Senate Chamber at the US Capitol.
