Trey Gowdy: Adam Schiff ‘Did Everything He Could to Make Hillary President’
House Intelligence Committee Chairman tried to prevent Trump being elected

Former Rep. Trey Gowdy has claimed that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff did "everything he could" to prevent Trump from being elected and get Hillary Clinton into the White House.
Gowdy said during an interview on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," that Schiff's bias against President Trump has extended well past the 2016 election.
"Adam was a deeply partisan person. He did everything he could to make sure that Hillary Clinton became the next president. And he's done everything he could since he failed at that to keep a cloud over the Trump presidency," he said.

Gowdy was asked by Host Maria Bartiromo, what he thought about a letter signed by nine GOP members of the House intelligence panel calling on Adam Schiff to resign.
"Never seen that before," Gowdy responded.
"We had a lot of bad days the eight years I was in Congress but we never voted to remove or ask a chairperson to step down."
But Gowdy added that some of Republicans calling for Schiff's resignation are not "bomb throwers" or "members of the crazy caucus."
He named Reps. Elise Stefanik of New York; John Ratcliffe of Texas, a former federal terrorism prosecutor and Will Hurd of Texas, a former CIA employee.

Last week, all of the House Intelligence Committee Republicans demanded Schiff should resign because they had "no faith" in his leadership following his claims that there was "more than circumstantial evidence" of Trump's 'Russia conspiracy, even after special counsel Robert Mueller conclusive findings.
Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi defended Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) last week.
Pelosi claimed critics of Schiff are desperately attacking him to 'distract' from 'facts' surrounding Trump's alleged dealings with Russian figures.
"I think the next thing that's going to happen is the different intelligence communities, the different intelligence entities are going to say, 'You know what Chairman Schiff, if you don't believe the information we provide to you, if you prejudge the outcome of the investigations, if you have the president of the United States not just indicted but in jail and you continue to leak like a screen door on a submarine, we're going to quit giving you information,'" Gowdy said.
"That's when Pelosi will replace Adam Schiff with someone like Jim Himes who's every bit as progressive, he's just a lot smarter and a lot more reasonable."
