More Americans Believe Mueller's Russia Probe Was 'Politically Motivated,' Poll
Respondents believe Mueller probe was Democratic partisan investigation

Following the conclusion of Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, which cleared President Donald Trump of any wrongdoing in the 2016 election, many Americans now believe the special counsel’s probe was “politically motivated,” according to a new poll.
The CBS News poll reveals a dramatic increase of Americans believing the probe was a Democratic partisan investigation compared to the poll conducted before the investigation ended.
The poll, which was conducted between March 25 and March 26, found that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation was "politically motivated,” compared to 37% who believe it was “justified.”

The previous poll found 50% of respondents believed the investigation was “justified," with just 45% said it was “politically motivated.”
The poll also revealed that 34% of respondents feel the Mueller report, which funds zero evidence of conspiracy, “has cleared Trump,” while 23% who think it “hasn’t cleared Trump.”
36% think it's “too soon to say” if the report clears Trump.
The CBS poll also found that 66% of Democrats wish to continue investigating Trump.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has been more than happy to oblige.
The poll also found that 50% of Democrats were “disappointed” in Mueller’s conclusion.

69% of Republicans were “pleased" with Mueller's conclusion.
Another 44% of Americans believed the investigation was conducted fairly.
Those who thought it was conducted “unfairly” amounted to 10%.
40% believed it was too soon to say.
While the contents of the Mueller report are yet to be made public, there have been no additional indictments when submitting his report.
CNN political analyst Gloria Borger admitted that the conclusion of the probe has “vindicated” the president, but did so in a roundabout way, focusing on the political implications for the president’s past critiques of the Mueller team.
“So if, if as Jeffrey is saying, they get great news, the great news is, first of all, there’s no more indictments.
"But if suddenly the president has to say those angry Democrats who were working with Bob Mueller were actually just part of a Justice Department doing its job after he has criticized the Justice Department, then he’s now vindicated.”
