Trump on Pelosi's ‘No Impeachment' Stance: 'Thanks, I Never Did Anything Wrong'
President reacted to House Speaker's closure of her impeachment rhetoric
“I greatly appreciate Nancy Pelosi’s statement against impeachment, but everyone must remember the minor fact that I never did anything wrong,” Trump wrote on Twitter.
“The Economy and Unemployment are the best ever, Military and Vets are great – and many other successes!”
After the Democrats won the majority in the House of Representatives, the agenda has seemingly been 'impeach Trump,' but without any evidence to back it up.
The Democrats' top priority has seemingly been removing Donald Trump from office.
As Nancy Pelosi re-gained her position as speaker of the House last year, the House made their anti-Trump agenda very clear.
But even the president was baffled that impeachment was even an option for Democrats
“How do you impeach a man who is considered by many to be the President with the most successful first two years in history, especially when he has done nothing wrong and impeachment is for ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’?” he asked.
Pelosi told the Washington Post that impeachment was no longer an option:
I’m not for impeachment.
This is news. I’m going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before.
But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country.
And he’s just not worth it.
But Democrat billionaire Mega Donor Tom Steyer, who last year invested $40 million into Trump's impeachment campaign, isn't too happy about the decision.
"Well, is defending our legal system ‘worth it?’ Is holding the President accountable for his crimes and cover-ups ‘worth it?’

"Is doing what’s right ‘worth it?’ Or shall America just stop fighting for our principles and do what’s politically convenient,” the Need to Impeach founder said in a statement.
The Democrats' megadonor and former hedge fund manager announced in January that he would focus on his multi-million dollar anti-Trump push instead of running for president himself.
Steyer declared that he would undertake and oversee a laundry list of activities in 2019, all of which are aimed at removing Trump from office.
“Most people come to Iowa around this time to announce a campaign for president,” Steyer said in his scripted statement.
“But I am proud to be here to announce that I will do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to remove a president."
But now Steyer has been left bruised following an investment that any sane person would have known could bear no fruit.
