Democrats Spend $1.63 Million in Taxpayer Money Putting Illegals Through College
513 illegal immigrants receive state funds to pay for education costs in America

Democrats have spent over $1.63 million in taxpayer money to pay for 513 illegal immigrants to receive a college education in the United States, according to reports.
The Democratic Governor of New Jersey approved the measure to use the "bankrupt" state's funds to pay for over 500 students to attend higher education.
According to government data, each illegal alien to benefit from the scheme was awarded an average of $3000, courtesy of the American taxpayer.
As New Jersey slides toward bankruptcy while scrambling with pensions and health care costs for citizens, Gov. Phil Murphy granted $1.63m in state aid to undocumented students to attended college in the fall.
The non-citizen pupils were among the first to apply for the new tuition assistance scheme.
“This financial assistance offers these New Jersey students a life-changing opportunity,” David J. Socolow, executive director of the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, said in a statement announcing the figures.
“The successes of these first 513 students, who are now attending county colleges, state colleges and universities, and independent institutions around the state, will have a positive impact on countless additional lives.”

According to NJ.com, undocumented immigrants in New Jersey are getting some help from taxpayers in paying their college tuition, for the first time.
A total of 513 immigrants living in the country illegally received over $1.6 million last fall through a new state program that offers them the same college financial aid offered to U.S. citizens living in New Jersey, according to statistics released by HESAA.
The program is the result of a new law signed by Gov. Phil Murphy last year that makes New Jersey one of less than a dozen states in the nation offering college aid to so-called “Dreamers,” who have been living in the U.S. illegally since they were children.
More than 1,500 applications were submitted for the fall semester, but only 1,209 came in before the deadline and were considered complete, according to the state.
Of the 655 unauthorized immigrants who were approved for state aid, 513 actually enrolled in New Jersey colleges and received their grants.
The average student received about $3,168 in financial aid during the fall semester under the new program, state officials said.
The majority received Tuition Aid Grants and other aid designed for low-income students.
Where are they going to college?
New data released by HESSA shows the undocumented students are spread around the state, though one university enrolls far more than any other school.

This news comes amid a rising push by the Democratic Party to give free benefits to illegal immigrants using taxpayer funds.
In January, Democrat lawmakers in New York passed a new bill that will allocate millions in state funds to pay for illegals to get a free college education in America.
The new measure aims to issue taxpayer-funded aid to “Dreamers” - non-citizens who entered the country illegally - who wish to attend college but can't afford to pay for it themselves.
The now-Democratic-controlled New York state legislature passed the Dream Act bill, making thousands of “Dreamers” eligible for financial aid to attend public colleges in the state.
The Democrat-backed legislation has come under heavy criticism from those who believe the money could be invested in the future of legal US citizens.
